These terms govern your use of ProAtHeight, including its early testing features. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The service is operated under the ProAtHeight name; references to “we” and “us” mean its current operators.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity through your account. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the service or enforce these terms.
Member content and image rights
You are responsible for posts, replies, reviews, polls, photos, profile information, messages, links, and other material you submit (“Member Content”). You represent that you own your content or have all rights and permissions needed to submit it and grant the license below, and that your submission does not violate another person’s rights or the law. Images found online, manufacturer images, logos, manuals, employer materials, and social media posts may be protected even when they are easy to download. Credit alone does not grant permission. Do not post private information about someone else without authorization.
You retain ownership of your Member Content. You grant ProAtHeight a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, distribute, and adapt its format as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and promote the service, including displaying your public posts and profile to other users. We may use excerpts from public content to promote the community with attribution. The license ends when your content is removed, except for copies retained for legal or security purposes, reasonable backups, or content already shared by others through service features. You have no obligation to grant us ownership of your work.
Community rules
Do not post unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or malicious material; impersonate others; manipulate polls or ratings; scrape the site without permission; or attempt to compromise the service. Do not disclose another person’s private credentials or confidential business information. We may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content and take account action. We do not promise to pre-screen every submission. Members can report concerns to chris@proatheight.com.
Reviews and professional status
Reviews must reflect genuine experience and must not be bought, fabricated, or coordinated to manipulate a score. Clearly disclose any employment, manufacturer relationship, sponsorship, free or discounted product, compensation, or other connection that might affect how readers weigh your views. Verified Professional status means we reviewed submitted information under our current criteria; it is not a certification of competence, endorsement, or guarantee of accuracy. We may correct or withdraw a status if information changes or is inaccurate.
Safety and reliance
Work at height can cause serious injury or death. Posts, ratings, equipment listings, and other site material are for discussion and information, not site-specific safety advice, engineering approval, or a substitute for manufacturer instructions, training, inspection, employer procedures, or applicable laws and standards. You must evaluate equipment and methods for your own situation with qualified people. Members’ opinions are their own and do not necessarily reflect ProAtHeight’s views.
Copyright complaints
See our Copyright Reports page for how to identify material and submit a complaint or response. We may remove material while reviewing a report and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. The copyright contact listed there is an operational reporting channel; it is not a representation that a DMCA agent has been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Privacy and outside services
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. Links to manufacturers or other websites lead to services we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply to them.
Testing, changes, and ending use
The service is in early testing and may change, experience interruptions, or lose test content. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided “as is” without a promise of uninterrupted availability or that any content is accurate. You may stop using the service and request account deletion by emailing chris@proatheight.com. We may update these terms by posting a new effective date and giving additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date of updated terms indicates acceptance; where required, we will seek a new affirmative acceptance.
